The summer is also the time when most of the best food festivals are held. This can be one of the best entertainment for couples or families. For a nominal fee, you can get the value of one day of food, fun, and sun!

Here are some important summer food festivals in the United States. If one of them is near you, then you have no excuse not to go. Some people spent the entire summer traveling from one festival to the next meal.

1. Strawberry Festival (Garden Grove, CA - Late May)

California is known for producing some of the best fruit in the world, and their annual Strawberry Festival is probably the best strawberry festival in the world. You can taste the strawberries in every different variant you can imagine, enjoy traveling carnival, and hanging out with some Hollywood celebrities.

2. Georgia Peach Festival (Fort Valley, GA - Mid June)

The festival is held annually in Fort Valley, Georgia. Fort Valley is the county seat of Peach County, GA. As the name implies, some of the world's best peaches grown here.

3. Copper River Wild Salmon Festival (Cordova, AK - July Start)

The annual festival is always held right in the middle of salmon season. You will not find many places where you can eat fresh salmon than in the beautiful fishing village of Alaska.

4. Cheese Curd Festival (Ellsworth, WI - July End)

Cheesecake, cheese balls, cheese-on-a-stick, fried cheese: You name it, they've got it. There is also a live country music and traditional water fight to keep the day interesting.
